Hestraviken has an array of leisure facilities. With swimming pool, canoes, boats, bikes, moutain bikes, snooker room, table tennis, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, play ground for children, jogging track, fishing, boule court to keep you entertained; the whole family will be kept busy everyday at Hestraviken.

Things to do

Canoing and boats

River Nissan flows through the grounds of Hestraviken and is perfect for a quiet canoe ride. In the two connecting lakes there are several small islands and beaches, suitable for a picnic or a swim. Canoes, rowing boats and lifevests are free for our guests.
Fishing

River Nissan and the five connecting lakes offer good fishing waters. All are accessible from the hotel, and we have rowing boats to lend, free for our guests. Pike, perch, roach, pike-perch, whitefish, burbot, ide, bream and eel are all possible to catch, a little luck and a rod is all you need! Fishing permits for all of the lakes and the river are purchased at the hotel. We are happy to lend you rowing boats, life vests and fishing rods.

Fly-fishing is allowed at Nissafors mill, 2 km away.

At Kroksjön´s fishing camp, ca 15 km from the hotel, it is possible to fish planted rainbow salmon and sea-trout. The camp is very popular among fishers from May-October.
Bicycles

Around the hotel you find innumerable small roads and forest paths perfect for cycling. Through vast forests, along blossoming fields and past deep lakes. We are happy to make you a delicious picnic, then off you go!

We lend you bicycles, mountainbikes and helmets. Cycle routes and maps are available from the reception.
Hiking and walking

Surrounding the hotel and on Isaberg there are innumerable tracks, both for the beginner and for the experienced hiker. Also on Store Mosse National Park there are tracks, all offering you beautful scenery and possibility to watch the plant- and animal life close-up. You can choose difficulty and length yourself. A quiet walk around the lake or a challenging hike up the mountain. The choice is yours. Maps and directions are available at the reception.
Billiards

We have two billiard tables, one in the Manor house and one in the Conference house.
Boule

There is a boule course next to the restaurants terrace. Balls can be borrowed at the reception or the bar.
Tennis and Table tennis

Tennis

Indoor court and two gravel courts at Isamon, Hestra. We have rackets to lend.

Table Tennis

In our garden is an outdoor table for table tennis. Rackets and balls can be borrowedfrom reception.
Bath, sauna and swimming

Bath and Swimming

There is an outdoor swimmingpool at Hestraviken and within 300 metres there is a bathing place with bridges in lake Vikaresjön. You find indoor bath in Gnosjö, 10 km from Hestraviken. In the lakes surrounding the hotel there are several natural beaches with nice bathing opportunities. Borrow a canoe or a boat and find your own beach.

Please note that our swimming pool are unsupervised, so parents must accompany their children when swimming.

Sauna

We have two saunas. A smaller sauna in our wellness area for private use and a large sauna in our conference villa.
Wellness area with Spa pool and sauna

In our wellness area there is a spa-pool with 38C water and a sauna. The massage jets of the pool relaxes every muscle of the back and neck, and give relief to sore muscles. The Wellness area is hired for private use, and next door you find a gym and treatment room.

The Wellness area should be booked well in advance because it is very popular.

In some of our packages wellness time is included. Do you want to rent it without having booked a package, or want to use the additional time prices are as following:

Treatments and Massage

We offer treatments and massage together with "KS Massage and Fitness".
Treatments and massage must be made well a head of time to our reception. Here are examples of treatments and massage:

Facial treatments with Rosen series products
Cleaning, peeling, facial, shoulder and neck massage, vitamin c mask and a facial mask.
Price from 895 SEK.

Classical massage or chocolate massage
50 minutes classical massage 730 SEK, 50 minuteschocolate massage 830 SEK.

Head to toe
Enjoy a full body massage with dry brushing and warm oil. Then a small facial treatment, cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage and vitamin mask. 75 minutes. Price 1095 SEK.
Gym Workout area

For hotel guests we have a gym in the Manor villa with Life Fitness equipment

- Multi Power Machinery, tractor weights, instructions for 100 different exercises

Children under 16 are only allowed in the gym accompanied by an adult
Kick sleds

In winter, you can freely borrow kick sleds at the reception.
Play Ground for Children

In our garden there is a playground for small children with swings, sand box, carousel and a castle.

On the lawn facing the lake is also a soccer goal and vollyboll nets. Balls are available from reception.
