Road cycling and mountain biking

Around the hotel you find innumerable small roads and forest paths perfect for cycling. Through vast forests, along blossoming fields and along deep lakes. We are happy to make you a delicious picnic, then off you go!

There are several mountain bike trails in varying difficulty on Isaberg. There is a trail directly from the hotel which is connected to all the other trails

We lend you regular bicycles and you can rent mountainbikes (hardtail). Cycle routes and maps are available from the reception. The hotel facilities include bicycle washing and bicycle storage.

Mountain biking

For mountain bike fans, there are servral MTB trails at Isaberg with different degrees of difficulty. At the foot of Isaberg mountain, there is also a Mountain Bike Park with hope, dropps, banked turns, terrain waves, etc. which is perfect for practicing technique. We have a trail “Pink Lady” directly from the hotel, which is linked to all the other routes and the arena. Looking for a cool experience? A race down the mountain are really fun. Swedish championships were conducted summer 2015. The races were held in the XC course at Isaberg. It is a real challenge with streamers, cliffs, jumps, dropps, stone coffins, logs and other challenges for professionals.

Trail Pass (required for cycling park and Isaberg paths) day 105 SEK / person, weekend 3 days  265 SEK / person.

The trails are marked with clear arrows. The difficulty from green to black is shown in the arrows. Most are relatively simple with a lot of dirt road and wider forest paths but challenges in the form of the hilly landscape.

An arena that is perfect for practicing technique. There is hope, dropps, banked turns, terrain waves, etc. and trails of varying difficulty. Also loops suitable for children.

Dowhill biking with lift

During the summer and selected weekends, the opportunity is offered to take a chairlift where you can take the bike up to the top of Isaberg without effort. From the top there are then several runs in different difficulty levels

Some suggestions for bike tours

Bäckhultsleden – map PDF
The bike ride goes in a hilly terrain on the only asphalt roads. The tour is mostly in forest land.

Hestraleden – map PDF
The bike ride is on hilly terrain that mostly runs in forests. Man bikes on asphalt, gravel and forest roads as well as get a chance to see Hestra

Lilla sjöleden – map PDF
Bicycle tours through easy terrain on asphalt roads. Cycling part way along the golf course and has many moments lake views.

Stora sjöleden – map PDF
The bike ride goes in slightly hilly terrain on asphalt and dirt roads. Also this tour goes partly through the golf course area but also by much forest land.

Bikes and bicycle storage

MTB bikes can be rented from us after availability. In our bicycle garage there are compressed air and equipment for bicycle washing, remember to return the rented bike washed.

We have a limited number of Mountain bikes (hardtail and platform pedals), maps and helmets. Rental takes place through the reception. In high season during the summer, bikes can be rented on site for a maximum of 4 hours per day, subject to availability. Everyone who has booked Active Nature Package or Summer Package has priority access and can pre-book bikes.

Rental of MTB bike for hotel guests including helmet: Adult / junior bike SEK 300/4 hours and children bike SEK 160/4 hours

If you have your own bike, it can be stored free in our locked bike garage. Storage is at your own risk, i.e. we have no insurance that covers things owned by others.

MTB cycling is something that the kids also think is fun both in the forest and at Isaberg’s bicycle park
